Peter L. Zachary, MAI is the founder and President of Peter L. Zachary & Associates, Inc., This well-respected New York based real estate appraiser and consulting firm has been developing their reputation over the past 20 years. As its head, Peter Zachary has contributed to its achievements through his broad experience in New York commercial, industrial and residential property valuations and analysis covering extensive territories throughout the area.

Prior to the establishment of this company, Peter Zachary was active in real estate in several capacities. As an owner of commercial properties in New York, he proudly leases to Starbucks and McDonald's Corporation. Peter Zachary is also a mortgage broker who arranged millions of dollars of financing for commercial properties, including but not limited to, apartment complexes, office buildings and shopping centers. In addition, he was associated with major institutions as a real estate investment analyst.

Mr. Zachary earned his Bachelor of Science degree from New York University at the age of 22. After receiving his MBA degree, also from New York University, he was associated for a short time with the Rockefeller Center office of Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith as a stockbroker.

After college he continued to pursue his career in the real estate business with the NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY in San Francisco. There he was involved in commercial mortgage transactions totaling over $200 million, extensively broadening his experience. He gained further experience with the real estate business via a promotion to the Main Office as an Equity Analyst. This allowed him practice in the field of real estate equity analysis and acquisitions. It was during this time, that Mr. Zachary authored the Tax Chapter of New York Life's Real Estate Equity Manual. This project provided an in-depth knowledge of the tax ramifications associated with real estate ownership. It was also during this time he was involved in the analysis, acquisition, and closing of over $100 million of commercial real estate.

Afterwards, Mr. Zachary served as a Project Manager in the real estate division of the Real Estate & Mortgage Loan Department of MANUFACTURERS HANOVER TRUST. There he earned the reputation of being considered a specialist on major income producing properties.
