Commentary on the Real Estate Market - October 2009
by Peter L. Zachary, MAI, MRICS
This month, the real estate market commentary will be very short. I suppose that is good because I am so busy that I don't have time to write a lengthy commentary. The good news is that things are getting slightly better or maybe everyone is just getting used to things being so bad. There are positive bits of news here and there that the recession is near its end.
However, even if it ends today, there will still be a period of moving sideways until things get better and with all the talk about health care, does anyone remember the expression "While Rome was burning Nero was fiddling"? Maybe the history books will write "While the United States was suffering the worst recession since the depression, Obama tried to fix health care"?
More next month...
